“Agora” is an epic story, depicting historical scenes, which take place in Egypt relating to the 4th century A.D., the times of the Roman Empire.
The story begins on the streets of Alexandria, where violent religious fanatics are going to destroy the main library of the city. Trapped inside the library, Hypatia with the group of her faithful disciples try to confront the violence and save dignity, freedom and cultural heritage of the ancient world. Being a prominent mathematician, astronomer and philosopher, the woman has a special popularity among her followers, but two men are especially devoted to Hypatya. The first of them who tries to win her heart is Orestes, known by his clever humor and wit. The second one is Davus - a young slave of Hypatia, who suffers from his secret love for his mistress and the desire for freedom. He knows he could become free, if he joins the troops of Christians, but then he has to abandon Hypatia.
The epic film, directed by Alejandro Amenabar, is full of dramatic chronicles and describes the strong feelings, standing out against a historical background. The film represents to the viewer the unsurpassed play of Rachel Weisz in the role of Hypatia, Max Minghella in the role of a slave and Oscar Isaac as Orestes.

A historical film directed by Nikolai Müllerschön is a wonderful chronicle of the events of World War I and its heroes. The film “The Red Baron” describes the life of a young German pilot Baron Manfred von Richthofen (Matthias Schweighöfer). Being only 24 years old, Baron faces real life and is ready to be the hero in the sky and fight to death. But the highest command makes him to perform the function of agitprop.
The film is full of combats, especially of the sky battles with the participation of the main heroes of the film (German Baron Manfred von Richthofen, Richthofen’s brother Lothar, Canadian Captain Roy Brown, Lieutenants Voss, Sternberg and others). The picture of terrible war facts is shown in the film, including its horrors and cruelty.
In the course of the war, von Richthofen got acquainted with the young nurse Käte, who changed the points of view of the pilot. Having perceived the fact that all the actions connected with agitation job was not the thing he should do, the pilot tries to change the situation. Named by people "The Red Baron" Baron Manfred realizes the uselessness and cruelty of the war and tries to fight. But most often he fights with himself – talented pilot, warrior and a simple sensual man.
